6 Week Dream Body Plan

You would probably think that I didn’t know what I was talking about… BUT I DO! … I am a Personal Trainer...and a Fitness and Bikini Model... This article will tell you how to achieve your dream body while still having a balanced lifestyle. If you fully commit to my fitness model tips for 6 weeks, it is GUARANTEED that you will LOVE the changes that you see in your body… You will feel better and have more energy than you ever imagined! So what are you waiting for – it’s time to achieve your dream body!

Step 1: ACCOUNTABILITY

Tell everyone in your immediate daily life, that you are embracing a healthier lifestyle for 6 weeks, and ask for their support. This is invaluable. If you tell your colleague that you are on a healthy program, you are going to think twice about eating a muffin in front of her during the next meeting. Support is crucial. This is the most important point, because when you are accountable to others about your healthy goals, it makes a world of difference!

Step 2: POSITIVE MINDSET

Tell yourself (and believe it!) that YOU are #1! For the next 6 weeks, make yourself the top priority in your life. You will still take care of your family, friends and job, but you will see how rewarding it is, both mentally and physically, to make yourself the top priority. When your friends want to go for drinks after work, tell them that you will meet them for ONE drink... after you finish your workout! It really is that easy for you to balance your life and work towards your dream body!

Step 3: EATING – Part 1

This is the part that most people find challenging... but think about this way of eating as more of a positive lifestyle change than a diet!

The first step is to eat every 3 hours. If you are used to eating only two or three times a day, this may seem like too much food, but here is the secret: eating every 3 hours will make your metabolism run faster, which will burn more calories and fat throughout the entire day. And when you start to eat smaller portions more often, this tells your body that it`s ok to let go of stored fat, because your body knows that within 3 hours, it will have more nutrients coming in. When you consider this, what could be a better eating plan than eating every 3 hours? You will lose weight while at the same time, never feel hungry on this plan!

Step 4: EATING – Part 2

Now that you know when to eat, you are probably wondering WHAT to eat! When you are eating every 3 hours, that should yield about 5 - 7 meals a day. Don`t be scared to eat! The important part is to make sure that each and every meal has 3 parts to it: lean protein, good fats (such as flax seed oil), and green veggies. The first 3 meals of your day (and only the first three meals!), you can also add complex carbs, such as brown rice, whole grains or sweet potatoes. It really is that simple!

Step 5: CHEAT MEALS!!

Did you read that right?! Absolutely! If you are eating 6 meals a day, 7 days a week, that equals 42 meals per week. Out of those 42 meals, you can have 2 meals a week that are what we call ‘cheat meals’! And that means that you are free to eat ANYTHING! You can go to McDonalds and order a Big Mac, french fries, and a chocolate milkshake... eat whatever you want, and enjoy it guilt free! There are two reasons for this ‘cheat day’ idea. 1. It controls your food cravings, knowing that you can eat your favorite food twice a week. 2. It resets your metabolism: your body is used to the same types of healthy food coming in at regular intervals – when your body is occasionally shocked by the cheat meal, it reacts and actually INCREASES the metabolism for a short period of time. Who knew that eating pizza and drinking a milkshake a couple of times a week could help you achieve your dream body?

Step 6: CARDIO

The bottom line is this: you must do cardio to lose fat! But for those of you who don’t enjoy cardio, the silver lining is this: you only need to do 20 minutes of a special kind of cardio called HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). And you only need to do this 3 times a week to burn fat! An example HIIT workout would be a 5 minute warm-up, and then intense intervals of 30 seconds sprinting, 60 seconds resting... repeated for 20 minutes. And don’t forget to do a 5 minute cool down. It really is that simple, and very effective. Of course, before beginning an intense program like this, it is important to check with your doctor.

Step 7: WEIGHTS

Weight training is also very important to achieving your dream body. Science has proven that muscle burns more calories than fat while the body is at rest. So it makes sense that the more muscle you have, the more calories your body will burn throughout the day. And weight training will sculpt your body into the EXACT physique that you desire, whether it is to bulk up or lean out. For best results, meet with a certified personal trainer and set up a program that includes weight training 3-4 times per week.

Step 8: DEDICATION

When you stick with this program for 6 weeks, you are GUARANTEED to see amazing positive results that will take you in the direction of your dream body! After the initial 6 weeks you will see so many great changes that you will likely want to revise your goals to a new level, and embark on a more advanced 6 week program. Just remember, as Walt Disney said: “If you can dream it, you can do it”!!
