New Orleans Boot Camp Tips to Make Sure Your Mardi Gras Day is Somewhat a Healthy Experience
By Jonas Deffes
Being a New Orleans, Mandeville and Metarie Personal trainer and Boot Camp instructor, I know Mardi Gras time is a time to let yourself go and get CRAZY but it never hurts to know there are some things you can do to make it somewhat of a healthy experience.
1. Fill a bottle with water and tell everyone it's vodka instead, but don't share!!
2. Make sure you DON'T catch any beads, let them hit the ground first and secretly get some squats in when you pick them up.
3. Park far away from the parade route so that you can get a nice cardio workout in.
4. Pretend you are jump roping when a float comes by, it keeps those calves nice and toned
5. Make sure you load up those bags to carry all your catches and do some bicep curls when no one is looking;)
6. Pack some protein bars with you so that you don't give in to those disgusting concessions stands.
That’s it, I hope you enjoy your Mardi Gras day, whether you are in Metarie, New Orleans, or Mandeville and stay safe!
