Your Best Gains Ever!

By Chris Scott

At some point, you will notice that your body won’t be so responsive to your training, this is called the lag phase of body building, as a result you may feel that you’re muscles are becoming stagnant, not growing at all. That’s not how it really is, in fact you are continuing to grow but at a much slower pace in turn you will gain strength or definition but not so much in the size. But like any problem, there is always a solution, and the tricks in this article show you how to build new muscle.

1. Confuse your muscles - some experts claim this tip is false, well let me tell you this technique has been endorsed by no other than Joe Weider the father of scientific body building, the logic behind this item banks on the fact that the body at some point get used to the exercise and compensates for it that is why you grew in the first place! So by “confusing” the muscle you stimulate it to work in a different way it had before adding to its size in the process. You can do this by adding or subtracting exercises, experimenting with varying angles when you attack a lift and so on, it’s up to you to be creative.

2. Shock your muscles to grow - Go to the extremes, either lift very light or heavier than your usual and see what works for you, by doing this you are shocking your muscles by drastically changing their usual work load, it is similar to the previous tip on this is a little more generalized.

3. Take a leave - sometimes all your body really needs is a vacation, take a break no longer than two weeks to allow your body to mend those micro tears in the fascia, a lot of body builders have reported as high as a 20% increase in strength and endurance after a fortnights rest.

4. Do less isolation and more compound exercises - While you may find the latter harder to perform this exercises force more muscle groups to work together to resist the strain in the end your left with more massive cuts and better proportions.

5. Know your body type - Some people are just blessed with good genetics but for the rest of us, knowing our body type also tells us what to expect. This saves you effort, and from the anxiety you may have towards other individuals, and in the end it’s not about looks it’s about living long and living healthy.

When you stop seeing results don’t let it get to you, instead find ways to kick start your body by first educating yourself then attacking the problems one at a time remember it’s all about living long and living strong.
