In life, in everything we do, in everything we work to accomplish, you need to have at least one positive person backing you up. Now this person may not be able to actually help you, but they can inspire and motivate you. Think of a professional athlete, lets say a football player since its football season. GO RAIDERS! Anyway, think of a running back that has 1 yard to go to make a touchdown. The home team crowd is cheering him on. The energy in the stands is terrific. When he gets the ball, that running back is going to run a little bit faster, hit a little bit harder, strive to make that last yard, that last inch and SCORE!
Have you ever tried to accomplish something as everyone around you kept doubting you? How difficult did that task become? Now reflect on a time when you were given a difficult task to complete, but had great support. That task probably went very well, regardless of difficulty. That is the power of positive people.
You need a cheerleader. You need someone to feed you some extra energy. We all need it. If you are lucky, you may have more than one cheerleader. When business gets a little rough, as it sometimes does, I have a close friend who tells me to keep going, keep delivering the message, and keep helping people achieve their dreams. I am a fitness trainer, and sometimes even I need to be pushed and motivated. So I head over to the fight club at Pride Tae Kwon Do to see Sensei Corki Morales. He delivers such great energy and I am able to really push myself in his classes. Anyone in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho neighborhood should really check out his classes. Tell him I sent you.
This power of positive people concept applies to everything in life. Maybe you need extra drive and energy at work, in a relationship, in a sporting event or at the gym. No matter what or where, the positive energy you can get from any external source will help fuel your passion and mental focus.
