Probably, no one single industry has done more to compromise people’s ideas about health than the diet and weightloss industry.
From quick fixes to fad diets...the weight loss industry is saturated with unhealthy diets and schemes that have led to a world of misconceptions when it comes to proper nutrition and health.
Most commercial diet centers offer restrictive low calorie diets that border on starvation. While, this approach causes temporary weight loss that often gives desperate people false hope. Most of the weight being lost is actually water and muscle. Fact is, diets do nothing whatsoever in the way of permanent fat loss.
The problems don’t start and stop with the diet, however. The dieter cannot abdicate from responsibility for his or her life. Choosing to “go on” a diet implies a temporary deprivation mindset. The dieter is knowingly or unknowingly making a choice to “go off” the diet, eventually. Many believe going on a diet is the only way to lose weight.
Clearly, this is a dangerous thing.
Is it just a coincidence that the proliferation of diet centers in North America has coincided with an explosion of unhealthy weight-loss behaviors?
Perhaps.
But, the truth can be hard to find when it's hidden underneath so many lies.
But there’s no denying that today, more than ever, incidences of food-related disorders and diseases, such as diabetes and coronary heart disease, are on the rise.
The truth about what works when it comes to nutrition and healthy weight loss can be hard to find when it's hidden underneath so many lies.
You want the truth?
You can’t handle the truth.
Whoa...an unexpected flashback from “A Few Good Men!”
Okay, I’m back. You must be willing to look past all the “quick and easy” shortcuts and false promises that scammers peddle in the mass media. The allure and temptation of their siren song captures many, but delivers few if any from their pain. In fact, the message of the diet and weightloss industry preys on the most frustrated and desperate of people – taking them down a blind alley to a dead-end road.
You must look deeper.
When you finally stop listening to all the consumer junk and consult with experienced health and fitness professionals for real answers about healthy weightloss and proper diet, you’ll uncover the truth.
The truth is that there’s no quick fix to losing weight or improving your health and fitness. It's not a diet. It’s not a pill. It’s not a 12-week program. It’s an ongoing process that lasts for life.
The truth is that it’s not easy.
But it makes it no less true. You want a diet that works? Try the Reality Diet. If you’re only willing to do what’s easy, your life will be hard. And if you think investing in knowledge from a fitness or health professional expensive, try ignorance.
In the long run, you’ll waste more money on weightloss myths, diet scams, half-truths, and outright lies. I don’t want to see you waste your money or your time. You deserve better. I want to see you make choices that support your health and happiness. If you are willing to help yourself, I am here to help.
