Winning The Weight Loss Mind Game

By Lee Smith Jr.

Believe it or not, weight loss is a mind game.

Where most people fail is allowing past failures to affect future outcomes. Let me be very clear when I say this - the past does not, will not, and should not affect your future. You have the power to change anytime you want regardless of what others around you believe.

Weight loss is one of those things you have to believe before you see it. Most people have no idea whether or not they're going to get a good job straight out of college, but they persevere anyway to make it happen. A degree increases your chances of getting a good job, but it doesn't guarantee that you will. Oh no. It takes networking and negotiation skills to get that good paying job you really want.

And with fitness - just because you exercise doesn't mean you will lose weight. It's very possible that you will, but it doesn't guarantee it. But just as those college students push through 4 very difficult years in hopes of landing that good job, you must push through your workouts with the idea that your training will pay off.

If students have to study harder each and every year they're in school, then your workouts should be harder each and every time you go in the gym. You've gotta constantly exceed your level to ensure success.
